a different needle

Hello there fellow softie-lovers!

This is Barbara, designer of Fuzzy Mitten toys. I was directed to this lovely blog a few days ago, and am thoroughly enjoying all the softie love over here.

I've been making toys since I was taught how to use a needle and thread at 6 years old, although my current knitted toys have been around for just over a year now. I had knitted a few little bunnies for friends' babies, but I was convinced that many more people might like the little critters too. My ideas have just kept flowing, turning the simple bunny pattern into bears, mice, tigers, lambs, kitties, puppies, and other animals too. And I have no shortage of new ideas for this year, although I'm hoping to break out of my standard toy shape and try something different, but still cute.

I have my own blog, Fuzzy Thoughts, where I generally share whatever creative thing is going on my life from day to day. In a couple weeks I'm planning to post a tutorial on making my toys' faces, so I'll drop a line here in case anyone is interested.
