I finished up a new owl softie this week. The pattern and instructions will appear in a future issue of an Aussie craft magazine. I really enjoy making owls so when the Editor asked me to write up a project for an owl softie with a patchwork belly (similar to other owls I make), I was more than happy to oblige!
This little owlet is called "Bubbly" simply because I can't get the song of the same name by Colbie Caillat out of my head!
Bubbly's whole look has been inspired by the amazing display of vintage and retro owls at the Brown Owl Clubhouse - wish I could have taken a picture of the display to show you. I really loved it.
He's made from wool flannel, wool felt, assorted cotton prints, buttons and of course, polyfill! He has a little tail in the back and designed to be able to stand on his own.
