Last June I decided to make 100 dogs. I went to a yard sale, and a wonderful book jumped out at me: “The Very Kind Rich Lady and Her 100 Dogs” by Chinlun Lee. I snatched it up and knew I was on the right path. So one year, 139 dogs, some bunnies, a chipmunk, a skunk and a squirrel later, here I am. The needle.org and all the talented members have inspired me to blog for the first time, ever! Until I get up to speed with the blog thing, I put together a mosaic of some of my dogs to introduce myself. The common thread (no pun intended) is that all of my creations are made using vintage wool recycled from blankets, skirts, coats and mens’ suits that I boil in hot water before cutting. I’m just addicted to the resulting textures and deep rich colors of the wool – especially the imports from Scotland and Italy!

What a great idea- isn't amazing where inspiration comes from? I love the little pug and the chihuahuas!
So adorable! I'm partial to the pug, too. ^-^
