Hey Everyone! This must be show season 'cause I'm here calling for entries to yet another fabulous plush show.
Lock, Coif, & Barrel: Where Plush and Salon Culture Collide is a show where artists create plush pieces inspired by hair salons and their wild, high-maintenance environment. Now, here's the nitty gritty for all those who would like to enter. Deadline for all entries is MAY 1st!!! Please email JPEG attachments of artwork with name, phone number, website and display/installation specifications included to lockcoifbarrel2009@yahoo.com. Each artist is allowed to submit up to 5 pieces each for consideration. Due to space limitations, I can't accept pieces larger than 4ftx5ft (that's not so bad, guys.)
The show is to take place on December 10th, 2009 during the December '09 monthly Art Walk that happens in Downtown Los Angeles. The show space is Salon on 6 (www.SalonOn6.com) below are a few images of a past painting show at the space...
