I made Skivvy last June for The Use What You Have Challenge. She's created from two push up bra inserts. Yes, you read that right!
I was cleaning up the house, sorting and organizing when I ran across two random pink push up bra inserts. I grabbed them up and headed for the trashcan when I suddenly stopped dead still, mind working furiously. Ya know what popped into my head? The Challenge. It would be a shame to throw away such pretty pieces of fabric. Couldn't I make a creature out of these things? So after a couple of hours in my studio Skivvy came into existence.
Many of my creatures are sewn from recycled clothes. I've made them from gloves, mittens, scarves, socks, and sweaters. I love to recycle useless things into fun creatures and Skivvy is one of my very favorites.
