Katie and her designer dog

I've been working hard these last few weeks making new amigurumis for my shop so I thought I'd show you one of them. This is Katie and her designer dog.

Katie is rarely seen without her designer dog, George. She loves shopping and so does he. He loves all the fuss and attention he gets from the people they meet in the shops and around the town and she loves clothes and shoes. She recently bought these Ugg boots and is loving how they keep her feet snuggly and warm.

Hi everyone! I am participating in the the Plush You Olympic Challenge and finished my piece up yesterday. I am so happy about my result, I just had to share! This is the first plush I have made that completely stands on its own and is dimensional!

Shoes, shoes, shoes,

It has been a long time since I posted here, but wanted to share this...,

I had an idea in my head to make a softie that was shoe shaped.  I've been thinking a lot lately about inanimate objects in fabric rather than dolls, animals or creatures.  The shoe was not easy to come up with a pattern for, but this is the closest I've got to how I imagined it to look, there are some more images here.

I have something to share! I make teddy bears, it's a very peaceful occupation. One that keeps me slightly sane.
A little about me and my therapy... er... ahem I mean one of my teddy bears.

His name is Ol' Plain and Brownish, because he is.

But don't let the fur fool you, this little guy is deep and thoughtful. Plain and Brownish he may be... but inside beats a poet heart. He feels deeply and applies his beautiful spirit to the wounds of the sad world, he is after all a teddy bear. It is his calling. He is about 8 inches tall, (half of this is his Ol' head!) I hand dyed the mohair, and the soft cashmere wool I used on his arms and legs.

I love creating teddy bears.

Dahl-ing Dachsie

So, my friend said, “Donna, your backyard is Hollywood, can’t you add some glam to your dogs? Reva, the Dahl-ing Dachsie is my reply. I like to say that once Reva comes into your world, dahling, life will never be the same. She’s a little blond bombshell, and she’s got the wardrobe to get her where she wants to go. Her coat is reversible – one side is fluffy, long-hair cashmere (that I hand dyed a golden yellow) because contrary to popular belief, nights can get chilly in the Hollywood Hills. The other side is a silky summer floral, formerly a vintage scarf. A chunky gold heart dangles from her pearl collar, but she’s angling to steal your heart! Made from recycled vintage wool, silk brocade and trim :0)
