Barn Owl Plush

I've been inspired to make some more owls lately. They seem to sell well at shows and I usually don't make enough. But I'm trying to keep up and build up a decent supply to keep up with potential demand. Today, I got inspired to make a barn owl...

More Fall Owls...

I've been making more fall Owl Nubbins...

I'm loving these colors together. I bought the dark magenta fleece from the remnant bin at Joann Fabrics. I may need to go get some more sometime. It looks really nice with the grey.

Autumn Owl Nubbins

All the owl Nubbins I had made before were sold at the craft show last weekend, so I made some more in some cozy fall colors.

Costom Owl Doll

I'm so excited that buyers are really starting to get into their orders. They are choosing colors and requesting items to be personalized. I think by making a your order custom, it makes it much more special and I love doing it. Here's an example of an item I made custom for a little girl.

Owls!

Owls are everywhere lately, and while I tend to shy away from proliferating items as popular as they are, with owls, I can't help it. Owls are cute. Owls are fun to make. I recently finished a new batch, and as luck would have it, today was the first warmish sunny day in more the week, offering a nice opportunity for a quick outdoor photo shoot.

What a difference outdoor photos make! I like them so much better than the owls I photographed indoors:

Seeing the difference reminds me that no matter how many bizarre looks, strange questions, and snide comments Amy and I get while photographing our plushies outdoors, the effort is well worth it!
