More Fall Owls...

I've been making more fall Owl Nubbins...

I'm loving these colors together. I bought the dark magenta fleece from the remnant bin at Joann Fabrics. I may need to go get some more sometime. It looks really nice with the grey.

Owl Doll. Owl Details.

I realized it's been a while since I've shared any new dolls. So, this here is my latest custom order request to come through my shop. Created to be a special doll for a babe on the way with a nursery waiting for him/her decked out with this Alexander Henry -- "It's a Hoot" fabric.

I wanted to make a similar doll to the last one I blogged about --- with that sweet, bright eyed, baby owl face.

With lots of "It's a hoot" fabric details.

Oh yes, I love this fabric! I still have an owl embroidered pillow, with this wonderful fabric, still available. And, a few more new dolls that I am almost ready to share.

I really enjoyed making this one, but I am not sure the Raggy rats and mice thinks it's such a good idea!

Pink & Blue Birthday Owl

My newest owl! I'm really having fun making these. This one was a custom job for my friend's daughter's birthday. I was told she loved pink and blue...

I love the fabric of the heart. It's another one of those small scraps I got from a friend. I wish I had more. It's very pretty and India-inspired.

Minty Green Owl

I'm going to a baby shower with my mom this upcoming weekend and needed a gift. I was going to grab one of my many standby Nubbins, but Mom suggested I make a mint green owl (since the girl the baby shower is for likes owls and the baby's room is painted a mint green)...

The funny thing is that I'd been meaning to do an owl ...even though owls seem to be ubiquitous in the plush-making community...almost to the point of being cliche`. But they are still cute.

I hand-embroidered the feet. I did these kind of feet instead of the normal Nubbin feet because Mom suggested "flippy feet" for some reason. I did squares because it seemed simpler, but then I decided that hey looked like duck feet, so I added the embroidery.

Contour Owls

I'd like to share my new model of little plush owls. all the outlines are done by machine embroidery.
all is made of reused textile and stuffed with organic cotton.

I haven't posted here in forever because I've been too busy being a mommy. I'm working on plushy stuff when I find a little time, mostly a new edition of my pattern book, Fuzzy Knits. I have the first toy partly put together, a duck in purple and yellow, and he is a very handsome fellow (even without feet). I'm really enjoying going back to my first set of designs and fixing them up so they're even better and cuter. I can't wait till I have photos to share with you! Until then, please enjoy this super cute shot of my son in an owl hat I knit for him.

Chocolate Owl

Hello there! This is Stephanie (Queen Boogie) from the boogie bee. This is my first post on the needle.org and I wanted to share one of my plush owls I finished the other night. I'm very happy with the way it came out and I plan to make a few more similar to this one (since I have a lot of brown felt to use). I started making these owls a few months ago and they're starting to take over my home, but I can't help it...there a lot of fun to make. Happy Wednesday :)
